Raglan Waste Water Treatment

About the project

Raglan Waste Water Treatment

The upgrade to Raglan’s wastewater treatment system is a significant project for the Waikato District Council.
This project has been focused on increasing capacity and improving efficiency to ensure better environmental outcomes for the community.

UPG have been involved with Apex Water on this Watercare project, which included underground pipework around the site for sizes from 90mm up to 630mm PE pipework.

For the larger diameter 630mm Overflow Drain pipework below the headworks, we were able to save the Apex Water significant savings on their programme, along with cost efficiencies with our ability to pre-fabricate off-site and then come to site and complete the site welding. Instead of being 10+ days onsite, we could pre-fabricate to measure, then complete 3 days of site welding and have these sections in place. We also provided technical drawings for signoff by the client and to ensure final positions for offtakes were in correct locations, along with all QA documentation to Watercare standards. Great work by all involved and an impressive new plant is now operational !
