Expansion Compensators - above ground
Compensation for length changes in a pipe system
Reinert-Ritz compensators manage thermal expansion and contraction in above-ground pressure pipe systems, preventing stress on connections and equipment. Built to ISO 3501 longitudinally force-locked standards, they feature a System 3S EPDM lip seal rated for drinking water quality.
The integrated clamp seat provides a fixed-point anchor enabling defined axial movement of one side only from 170mm up to 350mm depending on the diameter of the fitting. Compensators can be integrated into existing pipe system later using flanged connections for any material type (steel,PVC,CLS,DI etc) or supplied as spigot ends and welded into a PE pipeline.
The result is controlled compensation for thermal expansion and contraction without leakage or system stress.
This fitting provides defined compensation for length changes in the pipe system.
*Note: for above ground installation only.

Applications
Reinert-Ritz compensators absorb axial length changes in pipe systems through homogeneously extruded semi-finished products with high tensile strength and plastic-compatible design. The fixed-point design anchors the system while the lip seal permits controlled axial movement.
Use compensators when you need:
Absorption of axial length changes from thermal expansion/contraction
Fixed-point anchorage to control pipe movement direction
High-tensile-strength design for pressure systems
Full pressure performance in above-ground applications
Defined expansion path capacity to prevent system stress
Integration into existing pipe systems without major renovation
Drinking water or wastewater application flexibility (EPDM or NBR seals)
Longitudinally force-locked design for reliable performance
PE Stub Flange/Backing ring or Reinert-Ritz HP or special flange connection options
Material selection for different water types
* Expansion path must be calculated and specified for each installation. Talk to our technical team.
* Installation limited to above-ground pressure lines under standard conditions; buried applications possible only under specific conditions. Support sleeves may be required depending on pipe end collapse risk.
