Expansion Socket - above ground
Push-fit connection for absorbing axial movements above ground
The Reinert-Ritz expansion sockets provide a detachable push-fit connection designed to absorb axial movements in above-ground pressure line pipe runs. The PE100 socket incorporates a System 3S lip seal that permits pipe axial movement while maintaining full pressure-resistant performance, even under negative pressure.
The fixed point (anchor point) design standard features a clamp seat to secure and stabilise the pipe run. A metal clamp must be installed here to provide a fixed point on the pipline.
EPDM lip seal comes standard; NBR variants are available for specific applications. Optional configurations allow the clamp seat to be omitted, and transitions to other materials of the same dimensions such as PVC are possible, but need design input from Reinert-Ritz.

Applications
Joining and expansion sockets enable flexible, pressure-resistant connections in above-ground pipe systems where axial thermal movement must be accommodated. The fixed point design anchors the pipe run while the lip seal permits controlled expansion and contraction.
