Designed to guide wastewater smoothly into the main channel, our PolyBench© system offers a modern, durable alternative to traditional concrete. It’s lightweight, resistant to corrosion and chemicals, and provides a smoother surface that reduces maintenance and increases lifetime compared to traditional install methods of haunching and benching.
PolyBench© is a method used to form channel in the base of a manhole so that the the sloped surfaces — known as “benching” — at the base of a manhole can be poured using concrete up to the PolyBench© section, with the open aperture box providing visibility of flow through the pipeline
It allows for faster installation with consistent quality, making it ideal for both new infrastructure and rehabilitation projects.
We offer two standard setups which are our 600 series and 950 series:
1) PolyBench© 600 Series
Installed internally of manhole chamber for internal pipe connections within benching pour
2) PolyBench© 950 Series
External corbel connection where PolyBench© will have long legs for external corbel and pipe connections (and then manhole riser installed later)

How It Works
To begin the process, we need an initial design sketch from you. If you can accompany this with any detailed drawings that you have, that would be a help too.
Firstly, determine whether you’re wanting to make connection with PolyBench within the manhole or within a corbel and then download the relevant document below.
We’ve provided a completed example for your help and of course, you can reach out to the UPG team at any time for assistance.
Once you’ve filled out your chosen template, please send this to quotes@upg.net.nz
