Welding Courses
At UPG Pipe Systems, we provide comprehensive welding courses designed around AS/NZS2033:2024 and PIPA guidelines. Our expert-led training covers Electrofusion Welding, Butt Welding, and Socket Fusion Welding, ensuring you gain the skills necessary to ensure you meet your project requirements.
For your convenience, we’re running regular courses in our Wellington and Auckland locations. These courses can also be conducted at your premises or directly on-site, depending on project requirements.
If your project involves council work, achieving NZQA qualifications is often essential. If you’re unsure of the requirements, we recommend checking first to ensure you receive the correct training for compliance and success.
The courses we offer cover the following Unit Standards:
US31532 – Demonstrate knowledge of fusion jointing of polyethylene pipes for water networks (Theory – prerequisite for the following Practical Courses)
US31525 – Carry out electrofusion jointing on polyethylene pipes for water networks (Practical)
US31524 – Carry out butt fusion jointing on polyethylene pipes for water networks (Practical)
If you’ve already achieved these unit standards, we also offer refresher courses. Please state on our enquiry form if you only require a refresher course.
