Raglan Waste Water Treatment

About the project

Raglan Waste Water Treatment

The upgrade to Raglan’s wastewater treatment system is a significant project for the Waikato District Council.
This project has been focused on increasing capacity and improving efficiency to ensure better environmental outcomes for the community.

UPG have been involved with this Watercare project, which included underground pipework around the site for sizes from 90mm up to 630mm PE pipework.

For the larger diameter 630mm Overflow Drain pipework below the headworks, we were able to save the contractor significant savings on their programme, along with cost efficiencies with our ability to pre-fabricate off-site and then come to site and complete the site welding. Instead of being 10+ days onsite, we could pre-fabricate to measure, then complete 3 days of site welding and have these sections in place. Impressive work by all involved!

We also provided full drawings and documentation to Watercare standards as part of our package.
