Welder Calibration
UPG specialise in the repair and calibration of Welding Equipment, for all items from Rotary Scrapers, Electrofusion Welders and Butt Welding machines.
Regular and planned servicing of equipment ensures it is working with calibration, prolongs its useful working life and provides safe and trouble-free operation on site.
UPG Pipe Systems have a fully equipped workshop facility. Our service technicians, lead by Grant Wallis, are highly trained and maintain equipment in line with industry and manufacturer specifications.
Our workshops in Auckland and Wellington are central locations from which we can effectively service the whole of New Zealand. Our main workshop is in Wellington for any significant repairs.

Equipment Repair
When your equipment breaks down, you need a fast and reliable serviceman to get it working again. UPG’s Service Centre is able to advise you of the turnaround time and projected cost of repairs. Upon completion of the repair, a detailed job sheet identifies the work undertaken to repair your equipment.
Plant Management
UPG offer a full plant management service that covers:
- The preparation of a detailed maintenance plan for your equipment including audits, PAT testing, re-calibration and periodical strip down and service.
- Logging of your fleet details on a database which notifies you when the next service is due for each piece of equipment.
This service saves you valuable management time, ensures you always have certified, serviced, calibrated and reliable equipment and helps you comply with the essential requirements of regulations for work equipment.
